In October 2009 Tarlia, one of Len's great-granddaughers,was presented with a certificate for her work 'Family Treasures'.
The homework project was part of an intermediate school competition
in Wanganui, and Tarlia's work featuring one of Len's sketchbooks
was one selected out of 600 entries for an award.
As part of the award her project and the sketchbook will be
on display in the Wanganui Museum until May 2010.
